OUR MISSION
Our mission at Vital Signs is to provide free sunscreen to consumers in an effort to promote sunscreen awareness and skin health, while at the same time promoting our advertisers.
HEALTH EQUITY
Vital Signs kiosks provide PABA / oxybenzone-free, reef-safe, SPF50 Broad Spectrum sunscreen free for all patrons. The free nature of our product decreases any cost-barrier of entry to sunscreen use. Data suggests that users are more inclined to use free products, increasing overall sunscreen usage and awareness.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is part of our mission at Vital Signs Media, and our proprietary dispensers place the sunscreen product directly into the user’s hand without producing trash or waste. Even the containers we use to house our product within the kiosks are made completely of recycled material and generate 84% less plastic waste than individual sample packets. Vital Signs sunscreen is also reef-compliant.
DISPENSATION AMOUNT
Data suggests that both adults and children underapply sunscreen (meaning that they do not apply enough sunscreen at the appropriate thickness) to achieve reported SPF and Broad-Spectrum Efficacy. Our pump dispenses the recommended amount of sunscreen for the average adult to use on face and arms, promoting proper use.
EFFICACY AND WEARABILITY
Effective sunscreen protects the user from sunburn, skin cancer development, photoaging, photoimmune suppression, and photosensitivity. The American Academy of Dermatology’s (AAD) criteria for efficacy include SPF>/+30, broad-spectrum coverage (UVA protection), and water / sweat resistance (40 or 80 minutes). Sunscreens that adhere to all of these criteria (as ours does) tend to be associated with higher cost.
SUNSCREEN INGREDIENTS
The sunscreen we use is AAD approved as set forth above. Our product is SPF50, Broad-Spectrum and is PABA and Oxybenzone-free (reef safe), and Water Resistant (80 minutes.)
KIOSK DIMENSIONS
We offer several different kiosks that are designed for different locations and venues such as parks, events or inside at schools and malls. But all options are between 14”-15” wide and 52”-54” tall and weigh between 10lbs and 110lbs.
KIOSK DISCLAIMER
Not suitable for babies under 6 months old. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken or damaged skin. If irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue use immediately and seek medical assistance if required.
INDEMNITY TO ADVERTISERS
Vital Signs Media assumed and agrees to indemnify, protect, defend and hold the advertiser harmless from and against all of the liabilities and obligations of every kind and nature (including legal and other fees and charges), incurred or sustained by advertiser as a result of our attributable to any and all liabilities, events, occurrence or duties related to (i) the ownership, operation or use of the Kiosks (or sunscreen dispensed therefrom), or (ii) any alleged breach of intellectual property rights related solely to the kiosk (as opposed to advertiser’s fascia thereon.)
